Souvik Roy has been with the Firm since August, 2013.

He is a member of the Transactional Practice Team focusing on assisting and advising domestic and foreign clients on venture capital investments, private equity investments, joint ventures and mergers & acquisitions in India and overseas. He brings in considerable experience in advising various clients including mutual funds, NBFCs and real estate developers, in their investments as well as raising capital in debt sector including debt capital markets. He has advised clients through the life span of transactions, leading on some of the highest valued transactions in healthcare, e-commerce, real estate, education, F&B, and banking and finance sectors. He also advises on company formations, structuring and early stage business requirements of start-ups, drafting of various corporate commercial agreements and regulatory compliances.

He also brings in expertise in advising clients on structuring and formations of investment funds and raising capital from investors, and has assisted several clients in obtaining licenses on investment funds, portfolio management services and investment advisory services. He also has a fair exposure in mining laws and has advised clients on operations in mining and energy business.

Souvik holds B.A LLB (Hons) degree from West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences.
