Sameena Chatrapathy has been with the Firm since Chennai office was set up in 2006.
She is a lead member of the Corporate and Transactional Team focusing on assisting and advising domestic and foreign clients on private equity investments and acquisitions in India and overseas. She has advised clients through the life span of transactions, leading on some of the highest valued transactions in healthcare, energy and information technology sectors. She also advises on company formations, structuring and early stage business requirements of start-ups, drafting of employment packages and regulatory compliances.
Lately, with her experience in investigation of allegations of sexual harassment and her inclination towards protection of women’s rights, Sameena Chatrapathy has spearheaded the Firm’s initiative to bring establishments in India in compliance with the sexual harassment laws, being a key member on the internal complaints committees of over 15 domestic establishments.
Sameena Chatrapathy holds a Masters degree in International Commercial Law from United Kingdom and a graduate with an honours degree from the very prestigious, School of Excellence in Law, The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai. Sameena Chatrapathy has been a university top rank holder all through her five years of under-graduate legal education, graduating with distinction.
