Pooja Mehta has been with the Firm since April 2017.

She is a member of the Investment Funds Team. She has advised various domestic fund managers on formation and registration of alternative investment funds (including private equity funds, hedge funds, venture capital funds, debt funds and so on), and drafting, and negotiation of associated documentation. She has also assisted fund managers in LP-GP negotiations and documentation. She has worked extensively on structuring of the India focused offshore funds including setting up funds in GIFT City. She has wide experience in advising investment advisers, portfolio managers on registrations, reporting and documentation. She also advises fund managers and financial institutions on exchange control laws.

She has also assisted and advised domestic and foreign clients on private equity investments and acquisitions in India.

Prior to joining IC Legal, Pooja Mehta worked as a Senior Associate with at ARA Law, Advocates & Solicitors of national repute for a period of 5 years.

She also holds a graduate degree in law from Government Law College (Mumbai University) and a graduate degree in Science in the field of Biotechnology from Mumbai University and has secured first class during both the graduations.
