Abhishek has been with the Firm since November 2018.
He is a member of the Transactions Practice Team at the Firm’s Mumbai Office focusing on assisting and advising domestic and foreign clients on venture capital investments, private equity investments, joint ventures, business restructuring, and mergers & acquisitions (including court-sanctions mergers), in India and overseas.
He also advises on company formations, structuring of early stage businesses and startups, drafting of joint development agreements, hotel management agreements, ISDA Master Agreement and various corporate-commercial agreements, SEBI, RBI, RoC and other regulatory compliances. He has advised clients in mining, pharmaceuticals, fintech, IT, hospitality, real estate, power and manufacturing sectors. His experience in advising and representing clients in corporate and commercial disputes comes handy in his transactions practice.
He received his bachelor’s degree in Commerce in 2013 and his bachelor’s degree in Law in 2016. He qualified as a Company Secretary in 2014. He has co-authored books published by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India on Fund Raising, Prohibition of Insider Trading, Annual Compliances for Indian Companies, SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 and Related Party Transactions.

P.S.: Abhishek is a gadget-freak and shall spare no chance in getting his hands on the latest in tech. He loves reading the Harry Potter Series as much as he relishes texts like Shakuntalam, Vigyan Bhairava and Vivekachudamani. He wishes to revive old Indian texts on life, politics, strategy, governance, psychology and wellness. In his free time, he likes to hone his boxing skills.
