Partha Mandal was instrumental in the inception of Universal Legal, Attorneys At Law by setting up the Firm’s first office in Bangalore.
He advises multinationals in setting up ventures in India, infrastructure projects, contractual issues as well as issues relating to cross-border investments, employment issues, real estate and related activities. In his legal career spanning over 25 years, he has honed his skills in a wide variety of mergers and acquisitions, inbound investments in India, cross border transactions, real estate transactions, intellectual property and labour related matters. He also advises start-ups in the field of information technology and other areas with a focus on emerging businesses, strategies to be pursued and intellectual property arising there from.
He is also responsible for strategic planning and business development of the Firm and business and human resource management.
Prior to Universal Legal, he was responsible for setting up the branches of an old family-owned firm in South India and was thereafter in-charge of supervision of certain key practice areas therein.
He graduated in law from the University College of Law, Calcutta and started his practise as a litigation lawyer since 1990 in Kolkata.
