Ananrita De has been associated with the Bangalore office for the better part of 7 years, and is now a Senior Associate.

Her practice areas include transactional corporate law, general corporate and intellectual property laws. She has been involved in several big ticket deals from end to end, handling Clients’ requirements with in-depth, time-sensitive and holistic advice. Her transactional portfolio ranges from giants in the micro-finance sector to IT and ITES, power sector, asset reconstruction companies as well as several big and small food companies. She has experience in advising start ups and investors investing into startups especially in the e-commerce market. Ananrita De’s general corporate experience covers day-to-day running of businesses and corporations relating to issues especially within company law, incorporation and post incorporation requirements, related regulatory compliances, and employment matters. She has also provided opinions on a wide range of issues such as Legal Metrology and Food Safety Standard laws; Alternate Investment Funds under the SEBI regulations; Indian anti-corruption laws as well as adequate stamping of instruments in the transactions of a US subsidiary in India.

Ananrita also leads the IP team, assisting Clients in structuring their IP protection systems including prosecution of trademark, copyright, patent, design, and other IP rights application and rendering legal opinions.

She holds a BA, LLB (Hons) degree from the prestigious law school, National University of Juridical Sciences in Kolkata.

P.S.: Ananrita is deeply engaged in giving back to the community and has been associated with NGOs, such as, CRY working in cases against abuse of women and children; Parikrama, working for development of destitute children. She regularly teaches student/s for Increase Diversity by Increasing Access – IDIA, an initiative to train underprivileged students of law as well as spoken/ written English and general computer usage to the office boys.
